| Clothing | Please bring suitable warm clothing to wear (under our free to use Musto GORE-TEX MPX waterproofs) also a hat, gloves, sun screen, and appropriate shoes (trainers) or wellies that may get wet |
| Lifejackets | We will provide Lifejackets. If you would like to wear your own Lifejacket, please ensure that its serviceability is in date |
| Refreshments/Lunch | We are providing tea and coffee that you can make yourself. Come prepared to buy a lunch on a navigation trip. |

Course Information
To provide a practical introduction to boat handling and safety in a powerboat.
Over the course of the day we will give you as much driving (helming) time as possible. There is a maximum of three candidates per course.
Powerboat Driving Skills on the water
From our base at Southampton Dry Stack we can practice slow speed boat manoeuvres and seamanship skills as we head down the River Itchen to Southampton Water, practicing planing skills (high speed manoeuvres) on the way to the River Hamble where we can stop off at a Marina Restaurant for lunch.
Whilst heading back to base, we will introduce you to some of the course content of the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course.
RYA Powerboat Level 1 Course
There is a minimum booking number of 2 participants for this course, to make the course viable we are pricing the course at £150.00 per person which covers the Powerboat, fuel, Instructor, life jacket, certification and free use of our Musto Gore-Tex Offshore waterproofs etc.
